      Patrick F. Cassidy, who for many years conducted a
      stove-repairing and hardware shop on lower Thames Street, died
      at his resident, 401 Thames Street, Sunday night. He had been
      in poor health for some time and had failed steadily since the
      death of his wife, who was Miss Annie Reynolds, daughter of the
      late Patrick and Annie Reynolds, September 20 last. Mr Cassidy
      is survived by several nephews and nieces living in Newport.

      The Funeral of Patrick F. Cassidy took place this morning from
      his residence on Thames Street to St. Mary's Church, where a
      large group of friends werer gathered. A solemn high mass of
      requiem was celebrated by Rev John J. Tully, with Rev. Jeremiah
      Baggoti, the pastor, as deacon and Rev Arthur Pinard as
      subdeacon. The interment was in St. Columba's cemetery, the
      bearers being Timothy Coppinger, James F. Sheekey, Solomon
      Gladding, John J. Reynolds, Patrick A. Reynolds and Frank M.
      Sheekey.
